  • Hawks Advance to Region II-3A Semifinals 
     
    PG Hawks will face off against Princeton in the Region II-3A semifinals. The best-of-three series will start at 3 P.M. Friday at North Lamar. Game 2 will be at 1 P.M. Saturday with a third game to follow if necessary.

    Congratulations to Lisa Frost for being recognized as Teacher of the Year for PGISD by the Texarkana Rotary Club.  Lisa is a first grade teacher at PGES. The following teachers were also recognized -

    State VASE Results

    On Saturday, April 6th, students from PGHS competed at the State Visual Arts Scholastic UIL Event.  Students advanced through the regional and area events to travel to College Station, Texas where 1,500 other students from across the state competed. 

    Our students did exceptional garnering 21 All State Gold Medals earning a perfect score of 4 and 8 All State Gold Seals.  A select few Gold Seals are selected from across the state of more than 25,000 works, these works then travel across the state for one year.  PGHS received more Gold Seals than any other high school in the state (1A-5A)  About 5% of students across the state receive Gold Medals and about 0.5% receive Gold Seals.

PLEASANT GROVE ISD FOR 2012-2013 ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.

The buildings will be open at 7:15 a.m. for students. Students are not permitted in the buildings before this time unless they have permission from a teacher or administrator. No student should arrive on campus prior to 7:15 a.m. Students must leave campus immediately after classes are dismissed. All students not participating in after school activities should be picked up by 3:30 p.m.
