Choose Your Day!

  • Guitar: Beginner & Intermediate

    Grades 5–8 • $125
    Instructor: Robert Smithson

    Pick up a guitar and start playing! Students will learn the fundamentals of guitar, including basic chords, strumming patterns, rhythm, tuning, and simple songs while developing proper playing techniques. No previous guitar experience is required.

    Ready to take your guitar skills to the next level? Students who already know basic chords and strumming techniques will explore more advanced chord progressions, rhythm patterns, scales, picking techniques, and song performance while building confidence and musical expression.

    Students must provide their own acoustic or electric guitar.

    Hawk Hobby Lab

    Grades 6–8 • $130
    Instructor: Brittany Acklen

    Ready to try something new? Students will explore a variety of creative hobbies while making their own projects along the way! From clay creations and DIY stained glass to personalized hobby boards, charm bracelets, and keychains, students can create, explore, and discover hobbies they may want to continue long after Hawk Academy.

    Jr. Cosmo Academy

    Grades 6–8 • $135
    Instructor: Hannah Garrison

    Welcome to Jr. Cosmo Academy, where creativity meets cosmetology! Taught by a licensed cosmetologist, this hands-on course gives students the opportunity to explore beginner-friendly skills in hair, nails, styling, and more. Students will practice techniques, get creative, and build confidence while also learning about sanitation and professionalism.

  • The Bead Boutique with Ms. Cochran

    Grades 6–8 • $125
    Instructor: Stella Cochran

    Unleash your creativity! Design fun, stylish accessories you’ll actually want to wear and show off. Students will create beaded necklaces and bracelets, trendy bandana necklaces, personalized keychains, and bag charms using colorful beads, charms, letters, and designs. No experience needed—just bring your creativity and personal style!

    Game of Drones 101

    Grades 6–8 • $150
    Instructor: Venessa Nicklas

    Take to the skies! Students will explore the fundamentals of drone piloting using Tello drones and iPads. Through hands-on practice and interactive activities, students will learn essential piloting skills, safety practices, drone laws, real-world applications of drone technology, and potential careers in the field.

  • Write Pretty: Calligraphy for Beginners

    Grades 6–8 • $125
    Instructor: Sarah Miller

    Turn simple strokes into beautiful lettering! Students will learn modern calligraphy and brush pen techniques while creating beautiful letters and words, experimenting with flourishes, and designing personalized projects. From monograms and bookmarks to thank-you cards, students will leave with new skills and plenty of pretty lettering. No experience needed!

    Domino Domination

    Grades 6–8 • $100
    Instructor: Elijah Dovell

    Think you have what it takes to become the Domino Grand Champion? Students will learn the rules, strategies, and skills of dominoes while getting plenty of practice and game time. The final two sessions will feature the Domino Grand Championship, where players compete for the championship belt, the title of Domino Grand Champion, and serious bragging rights!

Important Information

  • Hawk Academy classes are open to Pleasant Grove ISD students only — you must be enrolled in Pleasant Grove ISD to participate.
  • Parents are responsible for transportation. PGISD does NOT provide transportation.
  • Select your Hawk Academy class(es) and complete checkout through RevTrak. A confirmation email will be sent after successful registration. Be sure to check your spam or junk folder if you do not receive a confirmation.
  • Classes must meet minimum enrollment before the start date. If a program is canceled due to low enrollment, you will be notified by email and receive a full refund.
